The FTC published a warning on August 24, 2026 after Veterans around the country reported postcards claiming they may qualify for extra monthly benefits through something called the “Veterans Savings Program.” There is no such program. The FTC claims the mailing is designed to get Veterans to call and disclose personal or financial information. However, Veterans should NOT confuse this with the legitimate VA mailing initiative for “Choose VA” postcards to approximately 3.8 million Veterans from mid-August through September 11, 2026
